Getting Started with Chef Combo
Chef Combo's® Fantastic Adventures in Tasting & Nutrition features a variety of food preparation, tasting and nutrition activities that can be incorporated into your curriculum throughout the year.

Learn How to Set Up a Make-It-Myself Recipe Activity, How to Use A Make-It-Myself Recipe Activity and How Prepare the Recipe Cards. Also learn about basic food and kitchen safety and why it's important to introduce 4- and 5- year olds to new foods.

How to Use Chef Combo® Activities
Each Chef Combo® Theme-Based Activity falls under one of four areas.

Take-A-Taste Activity Take-A-Taste Activity (blue)
  • Involve students tasting a single food.
  • Include recipes that the teacher prepares ahead of time or while the children watch.
  • Require cooking - others do not.
Nutrition Activity Nutrition Activity (purple)
  • Introduce children to age-appropriate nutrition concepts.
I-Can-Help Activity I-Can-Help Recipe (red)
  • Designed to be made by the teacher with the help of the students.
  • Rebus-format recipes in PDF file for you to download, print and laminate.
  • Non-cooking recipes.
