Have a Milk Mustache Photo Contest!

Activity Synopsis
Students join the gallery of Milk Mustache celebs with this fun photo contest! This activity is a perfect for a school carnival, health fair or nutrition unit celebration.

Materials and Advance Prep

• Vanilla ice cream
• Milk
• Blender
• Make plenty of Milk Mustache mixture. Blend 3 parts ice cream with 1 part milk until the desired consistency is reached. It should be slightly thick so it stays on children's upper lip.
• 5-ounce cups — 1 per student
• Napkins
• Polaroid® or digital camera
• Optional: Photo paper and photo printer — 1 sheet per student

1. Give each child some Milk Mustache mixture in a cup.

2. Right before having their photo taken, have each child hold the cup up to their mouth and tip it back while keeping their head still.

3. Make sure they keep their mouths closed as they "drink on their mustaches."

4. Take Polaroid® or digital photos. Let children finish their Milk Mustache mixture after their photos are taken. Print photos.

5. Have children write a caption about why they drink milk, and post pictures around the room.
