Age Appropriate Concepts

Below is a guide for choosing age-appropriate concepts when teaching elementary students about MyPyramid.
For children in preschool and kindergarten, MyPyramid concepts are too abstract. It's more appropriate to help this age-children learn to identify foods in various forms, such as apples and applesauce, the food group names and some of the foods in each group.
